What do you like most about your project? Least?

I am in a smaller city with hardly any law enforcement companies. As soon as we've needed to employ paralegals or attorneys, finding people with experience has been difficult and getting someone to relocate is challenging. So we have been reluctant to hire because training can be so time consuming and it is really hard to predict whether someone will work out with no history working in the area.

Would you must push yourself to the ground the first few years of training to create it?

Can you see a bias against people who attend law school later in life?

In summary, yes, later-in-life pupils can occasionally feel a bit out of place with the younger audience. But they have a distinct advantage that most of the students do not--a life in the mirror. That expertise will help from day one in law school. Professors will rely on and find those pupils to draw on the student work ethic along with that knowledge. Afterward, as soon as a résumé is reviewed by a law firm in the later-in-life pupil, it will have immediate assurance the graduate is ready to add immediate value to its clients and the company and prepared beyond the world. Did any courses prove particularly useful as you started practicing?

As you know, law colleges receive a lot of criticism for failing to prepare lawyers for law clinic, and there are many opportunities for advancement. When pupils start practicing having said that, most law schools offer a wide variety of classes, from theoretical to intensely technical, which will prove invaluable.

Was there anything you wished you would have done differently in law school that you didn't realize until you started to practice?

I wish I'd worked in a law firm, even for a semester. It is tricky to go from a salaried job to a law enforcement job. However, I wish I had, even for a short moment. It might have been nice to get some expertise about the aspect of things after being admitted to the bar, since I started my own practice fairly soon. Even things as simple as how to establish the ideal approach to bill, a client file, and how to delegate work to employees would have been nice to learn beforehand rather than on the fly.
